Superintendent's Office
Steve Olson serves as District 155's thirteenth superintendent. He began his career in District 155 as a social studies teacher in 1985 at Crystal Lake South High School. Mr. Olson and his wife have lived in our community for the last 35 years, and have raised four children here.
Previously, Mr. Olson served as principal of Crystal Lake Central High School for 16 years. He also held a variety of positions in the district including vice principal, dean, athletic director, and guidance counselor. Olson is a member of the Illinois Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Illinois Principals’ Association, National Association of Secondary School Principals, and is the Illinois High School Association Legislative District Six Commissioner.
Mr. Olson holds a Bachelor of Science in Broad Field social studies from University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, a master’s in guidance and counseling and an Illinois administrative endorsement from Northern Illinois University. He received his superintendent endorsement from George Williams College of Aurora University.
