D155 Career Internship Program
The purpose of the Career Internship Program is to provide students the opportunity to explore and evaluate a career path before they make the educational and financial commitment.
District 155 will offer this course, this spring, at Crystal Lake South and Prairie Ridge High Schools. Students enrolled in the program will have nine weeks of instruction, then participate in the six week on-site experience.
Along the way, we hope they will develop essential workplace skills, habits, and attitudes and gain valuable experiences that are just not available in the high school classroom.
Commitment: Six weeks (unless mutually agreed upon)
Start: April 1, 2019
Finish: May 10, 2019
Hours: Students will be available to work beginning at 2:30 P.M. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday
- Weekend hours may be decided upon mutual agreement between the student and business partner
- Student's cumulative time "on-the-job" should be 5 to 10 hours per week - unless agreed upon
