Community High School District 155 has been awarded with two recognitions for transparency and excellence in financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) and the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). D155 is among the top 1.5% of public school districts to receive this concurrent dual recognition out of more than 13,000 public school districts nationwide.

“The business office continues to demonstrate financial excellence that makes a positive impact across our district,” said Dr. Neil Lesinski, Superintendent of District 155. “The team consistently finds ways to improve our processes and make our operations more efficient, responsible and transparent.”

The GFOA awarded the district with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. D155 has earned this award for the eleventh consecutive year, reflecting the district’s commitment to transparent and effective financial reporting. 

The report was evaluated by an impartial panel that met the GFOA's high standards, demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate the district's financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.

The district also received the Certificate of Excellence from the ASBO for high-quality financial reporting and adherence to the organization’s best practices in school financial management. This recognition highlights the district’s commitment to integrity, accountability and transparency in its fiscal operations.
