On October 13, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) clarified the COVID-19 diagnostic test documentation required to return to school. The district will only accept a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test result or a healthcare provider’s note indicating the negative RT-PCR test result.
Should it be necessary that your student need a COVID-19 test, it’s important to verify with the healthcare provider that your child will need the RT-PCR Molecular Test. Results for this test could take up to a week.
Documentation showing results from a negative Antigen Test will not be accepted, these are typically rapid diagnostic tests.
