Physical Distancing

Per the CDC, schools where not everyone is fully vaccinated should implement physical distancing to the extent possible. When it is not possible to maintain a physical distance of at least 3 feet, it is especially important to layer multiple other prevention strategies, such as indoor masking, screening testing, improved ventilation, handwashing, staying home when sick with symptoms of infectious illness including COVID-19, and regular cleaning to reduce transmission. A distance of at least 6 feet is recommended between students and teachers/staff, and between teachers/staff who are not fully vaccinated.

Classrooms

D155 will return to pre-COVID class sizes with students seated at least 3-feet apart to prioritize in-person learning for all students. Seating charts will be utilized to assist with contact tracing. Students are encouraged to follow posted signage throughout the buildings and keep 3 to 6 feet of distance in common areas to the extent possible.

Group Work

Students may be assigned to work in small groups. We will work to maintain a physical distance of at least 3 feet to the extent possible. Seating charts will be utilized to assist with contact tracing.

Shared Items

Sanitizing kits will be available in each classroom to clean shared items with EPA approved sanitizer.

Lockers

Lockers will be assigned to students on an as needed basis. If a student would like to request a locker, please go to the main office.

Locker Rooms

At this time, students will not dress for PE unless otherwise determined by the building administration. Students can use PE lockers to change their shoes if needed. Athletic locker rooms can be used for student athletes. Coaches will assign lockers to maximize distancing, allow half of the team to enter the locker room at any one time, and limit the time spent by athletes in the locker room. Locker rooms will be cleaned and disinfected every night.
