Amy V. BlandI always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I
started my teaching career at Cary-Grove High School in Cary, IL. In the
seven years I was there, I taught freshmen English, sophomore Speech
Communication, as well as American literature, Creative Writing, and Rhetorical
Analysis of Media electives for upperclassmen. I now work at Prairie Ridge
High School in Crystal Lake as the Library Director. I also sponsor the PR
newspaper
Wolf Prints.
Professionally, I was a member of the
Illinois Speech & Theatre Association for ten years. I have also joined
Illinois School Library Media Association recently and enjoy learning from
colleagues on the listserv.
I love to work on the websites I've created for the high school library and in my personal life. Take a look at the new library blog, Prairie Ridge Howl, and my personal website Readerspeak.com, including a blog on what's Worth Reading.
