The Chris Voloch Award The Chris Voloch award is an award that was created in 2002. It is an award that goes to the model citizen of the team. Who was Chris Voloch? He was a player who graduated in 2003. After missing the cut for the team during his Freshman and Sophomore years, Chris worked extremely hard on his game and improved dramatically. He became one of the longest hitters in school history and was all-around solid. During his Senior Year he was part of the 6 players who played in regionals. He turned out to be the only member from the class of 2003 to qualify for sectionals. Through his hard work and dedication, he went from not making it to the team to the most accomplished golfer in his class. Not only was Chris a good golfer who worked his tail off, but he was a model citizen. Not once did he exhibit any frustration for not making the team his first two years or not playing enough during his Junior Year. He was a perfect gentleman who truly represented what golf is about. Hence, the Chris Voloch award goes to the team member who best resembles what Chris was all about: hard work, perseverance, integrity, and an all-around true gentleman.
