The The Symphonic Band is made up of musicians who are capable of playing grade 3 to 3 ½ band literature, but still need to continue to work on the fundamentals of music. The Symphonic Band will focus on ensemble playing while striving to improve the skill level of the students. Symphonic Band members will be part of the Wolfpack Marching Band (unless exempted - see Wolfpack Marching Band), and will perform in football games, parades and assemblies with the entire band department throughout the year. Entrance into Symphonic Band is by audition, and at the discretion of the director. Any student may be moved to Band Methods class, Symphonic Band, or Wind Ensemble at the end of a semester or year based on performance in class, auditions, and/or openings in other bands at the discretion of the directors.
