Coach McCaughn

Coach McCaughn received his Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout in 1993, a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling in 1999 also from Stout, and an Administrative Certificate in 2001 from Northern Illinois University.


Coach is presently in his 15th year at South, the first seven were spent as a Technology Education teacher and this is his seventh year as a Guidance Counselor. He has also been the Assistant Athletic Director for South the past eleven years, a Gator Pride sponsor for the last nine years, and a Gator Gold sponsor for the past five years.

Coach McCaughn is heading into his 15th season of coaching girls basketball, and this is his eighth season as the Head Varsity coach. 

 


Coach Czeslawski

Coach Czeslawski is a Creighton University alumnus where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Education in 2002.  Czeslawski received a Masters' Degree in Teaching and Leadership from Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Currently, Coach Czeslawski is pursing a Master's degree in School Leadership from Concordia University in River Forest, IL. 

Coach Czeslawski is currently in her sixth year of teaching Chemistry and coaching.  Czeslawski worked with the Freshmen level for two seasons and has spent four seasons working with both the Varsity and Sophomore levels. Coach Czeslawski has also helped with the Girls Track Program and the Tennis programs.


Coach Fontana

Coach Fontana received his Bachelors of Arts degree from Aurora University in 2005. Coach majored in K-12 Physical Education and minored in both Psychology and Coaching. Coach Fontana is also certified by Chicago State University as a Drivers Education instructor.

Coach Fontana is the Sophomore Head Coach. He is currently in his 4th year at South, both in teaching and coaching girls basketball. Fontana is looking forward to the upcoming season.

Coach Fontana also shares his time and expertise coaching in the baseball program.

Coach Scott

Coach Scott graduated from Fox Valley Conference rival Dundee-Crown in 1984. Following his tenure as a Charger, Coach Scott attended Harper College.

 

Coach Scott shares his experience from a head coaching position at Immanuel Lutheran School in Des Plaines. He was both the boys and girls coach for 11 years.  Coach Scott was also an assistant coach at Immanuel Luthern School in Crystal Lake for two years.

 

Coach Scott shares his time with both the football and track programs at South. 

Coach Eschman

 

Coach Eschman graduated from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in 1986. He received his Masters in
Education from North Central College in 1997. Coach Eschman has been at Crystal Lake South for the past 16 years teaching science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).

Starting his second year in the program, Coach Eschman will use his past coaching experience including his time working with the freshman girls basketball teams at Johnsburgh High School. Coach Eschman is also the Boys Cross Country coach and an assistant boys track coach.

Coach Mucha

Coach Mucha, a Crystal Lake Central grad, received his Bachelors of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry from Illinois State University in 2006. He received a Masters’ degree in Education from DePaul University in 2008. 

Coach Mucha is currently in his first year of teaching and coaching at Crystal Lake South.  Coach teaches Biology and Earth Science and will be working with the freshmen girls’ basketball team.  He also coaches football during the fall.
