This page is designed to connect former CLS baseball players with what is going on with the baseball program currently at CLS.  It is also to recognize those players who are now playing at the college level.  I will do the best I can to update this page.  If your name is missing from the list, please do not feel left out....but email me with your info. and I will add you to the list. Please also be sure to stop by and say hello from time to time, I would like to hear how things are going in your lives!  If you need anything, please don't hesitate to contact me.  Coach Bogda  bbogda@d155.org

Current CLS Baseball News

December 21, 2009-

We have some updates on the projects that I discussed earlier. The following projects are complete or will be complete by spring 2010:

  • Catchers areas Astroturf glued down in varsity bullpens
  • Added more dirt and grass seed to worn areas from Fall 2008 drain tile project
  • New Fencing added to varsity dugout fronts- heavier gauge
  • 5 tons of baseball mix spread on varsity & freshmen field worn areas
  • Varsity & freshmen field baselines and infield grass edged and rolled- looks brand new again
  • Mound grade adjusted on varsity field
  • New sod replaced in various areas to varsity field
  • Some new windscreens to be ordered for freshmen field
  • Large backstop windscreen to be ordered for freshmen field
  • 3-4 pocket sock netting system to be added to batting cages- new tee/soft toss station
  • 4 home plate tur mats to be ordered for batting cages to preserve wear and tear on turf
  • Home plate stencil to be ordered for spray painting home plates in bullpens
  • 20 tons of baseball mix spread on on youth field- this field is looking better every year

We thank everyone who helped us out with the field day on the 2 field days this past fall. We could not have done the work without your assistance.  I would like to send a special thank you to Scott Smith for making a lot of the freshmen and varsity field edging and rolling possible.  We are very fortunate to have so many people working towards our vision of providing the best possible playing surfaces for our young men.  If this makes the difference in just one of their lives, then it is well worth the time, effort, and money!

We are all looking forward to the upcoming season.  Be on the lookout for a new idea I have for our program, a quarterly web-based newsletter that will help inform not only the players currently in our program, but also to update our alumni.

Our big 2010 project will hopefully be to get us a scoreboard installed for Spring 2010.
