Crystal Lake South's WYSE Team took 2nd with a score of 467 out of 500 at the regional competition at McHenry County College on February 2nd.

On March 9th, the team went on to the sectional competition at Vernon Hills High School.
Corey Fry placed 3rd in Mathematics.
Four students qualified for the State Finals on April 16th: Shaistah Bahrainwala (Biology), Daniel Knight (Chemistry), Michael Marchionda (Chemistry) and Joshua Talliaferro (English) .
