Annals of American History Online is provided by Britannica.  Here you can obtain historical speeches, memoirs, poems, images, and multimedia.
Atomic Learning provides a library of thousands of short tutorials on many common software programs.  Ask a librarian to give you the unique login and password for student users.
Biography Resource Center is a biography database, containing narrative biographies and full-text articles from respected periodicals. It is a powerful one-stop solution for biographical researchers, students and librarians conducting research on any person of note from all over the world and throughout history.
Britannica Online is the electronic version of its encyclopedia.  These articles may be longer, more detailed than World Book articles.  From an article, you will find links to magazine articles and web sites.
CQ Researcher provides lengthy reports and analysis on issues in the news.  (Please print only what you need.)
Culture Grams has reports on various countries around the world, as well as reports about states in America.  Reports include maps, statistics, and glossaries.  You can search for photos, recipes, famous people and flags.
EBSCO Research Databases gives you access to databases you can search for articles from credible magazine, newspaper, and reference sources.

NoveList is a fiction database that helps you find books for independent reading assignments.  Besides searching for author or title, you can browse by genre, look for a particular series, or learn which authors are similar to the ones you like.
OCLC First Search is similar to EBSCO, but there you will find more scholarly articles from college-level research journals.

Webster's 3rd New Dictionary is the world's largest and most comprehensive American dictionary presented by Encyclopaedia Britannica.
