Brenda Bremicker Career Center Coordinator

The Career Center opened in August 2007 with the addition of Mrs. Bremicker as a full time coordinator to assist students one-on-one with their post high school plans.  The Career Center is located in its own room, adjacent to the Guidance Office.  Set up to be "student friendly", the Career Center has a variety of resources for our students which includes:

• A library with reference books on college searches, career and occupation information, ACT and SAT preparation
• Financial aid and scholarship applications
• Visits from college admissions counselors
• College and university catalogs, applications, viewbooks and brochures and reference material
• Guidelines for requesting official transcripts, letters of recommendation, etc.
• U.S. military opportunity information   

Students use websites and software on the two student computers to:

• Conduct college and career interest and abilities inventories
• Utilize inventory results for information on possible occupations connecting to college majors and schools that provide them
• Acquire information on specific colleges or universities and/or complete online applications

 

Announcements Mrs. Bremicker will be in the Career Center on July 15th(7am-4pm), July 23rd(1pm-4pm) and August 5th(7am-4pm).  Please email her if you would like to set up an appointment.   ACT tests can be registered for at www.actstudent.org or to register for SAT tests go to www.collegeboard.com   ACT Online Test Prep Web site is now available to CLC students in grades 9, 10 & 11 www.actstudent.org/onlineprep Students should change their log in to their student id number (username) and date of birth (password). Additional test prep information is available in the Career Center.
