SCHOLASTIC BOWL

Scholastic Bowl will practice today in Room C34 right after school. Please see Mrs. Suhrhoff if you cannot attend to get the information sheet for Saturday Sectionals.

 

ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTS

Attention all students interested in taking one or more Advanced Placement exams this spring.  Pick up an order form in the guidance office or from an AP teacher.  Completed order forms with payment are due to the guidance office by TOMORROW, Thursday, March 12th.  Each AP test costs $86.  Students on the free or reduced lunch program qualify for a significant fee reduction.  See Dr. Harvey in the guidance office if you have any questions.

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

Any girls interested in joining the track & field team, please see Coach Anderson in C15 or the English office this week.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Science Olympiad will meet TODAY after school in room B13. Don't forget your permission slips and money for the pizza lunch.

 

NIGHT CLUB AUDITIONS

Night Club will be held on April 9th and 10th this year.  National Honor Society wants some of C-G’s awesome talent to try out for Night Club on March 25th.  A permission form and other information is available in the front office.

 

CLASS OF 2011 PARKING STICKER APPLICATIONS

Parking Sticker Applications are now being accepted for the Class of 2011 (next year Seniors)

All Class of 2011 students interested in purchasing a parking sticker for the 2010/2011 School Year must completely fill out an application, attach a copy of the car registration and a check for $75.00. Place these  3  ITEMS  in the box in the Front Office . . . Deadline is March 26th – 3:00 p.m.

Applications for the Class of 2011 ONLY are accepted at this time.

Any late or incomplete applications will be placed in the Lottery.

Parking stickers will be distributed in August at Registration.

ACT Practice Test Program with Weekly Incentives!!!

 

Once again, we are giving all students the opportunity to prepare for the ACT.

Here is a list of what tests you will need to take:

 

Test 1: English (March 8th-12th) You will have until Friday morning, March 12th to complete the English test. Please turn this test into your English teacher. The winner for the raffle will be announced during your ninth period class on Monday, March 15th.

 

Test 2: Science (March 15th- 19th) You will have until Friday morning, March 19th to complete the Science test. Please turn this test into your Science teacher. The winner for the raffle will be announced during your ninth period on Monday, March 22nd.

 

Test 3: Reading (April 12th- 16th) You will have until Friday morning, April 16th to complete the Reading test. Please turn this test into your Social Science teacher. The winner for the raffle will be announced during your ninth period on Monday, April 19th.

 

Test 4: Math (April 19th-23rd) You will have until Friday morning, April 23rd to complete the Math test. Please turn this test into your Math teacher. The winner for the raffle will be announced during your

ninth period on Monday, April 26th as will the grand prize raffle winners!

SENIOR YEARBOOK ADS

Senior baby ads for the yearbook are due by March 30. There is a link on the Cary-Grove home page if your parents want to submit their order online. If they would like to submit a hard copy order, they may pick up an order form in the front office. Don’t miss this opportunity to have your adorable baby pictures included in this year’s book! Students can still purchase a yearbook via the link on the CG webpage.

Yearbooks cost $40, and there is a limited supply, so get your order in today!

"CURTAINS" TICKET SALES

Tickets for this year's musical, Curtains, are on sale during the lunch hours.  The show runs March 12-14 and 18-20.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.  Activity passes are accepted - so come out and see the talent of over 125 Cary-Grove students as they present this comedic, murder mystery musical.

 

INTERACT

You are invited to Interact's weekly meetings,  held on Wednesday mornings at 7:00am in C2.  Interact is an organization of students who aid and assist groups in our local communities, as well as the world-community.  There are many service projects sponsored by Interact.  You are invited to attend!
