9TH GRADE
Counselors will soon be meeting with freshmen to develop a 4-year Individualized Career Plan (ICP). The courses selected for 10th grade will be considered as sophomore year registration. The 11th and 12th grade course selections are tentative.
10th GRADE
All sophomores will be taking the PLAN achievement test on October 4, 2007. The results should be available in December or January. Counselors will be meeting with sophomores in their English classes in December or January to select courses for the 2008-2009 school year.
11th GRADE
College-bound juniors should take the ACT or SAT college admissions test during second semester. Registration packets are available in the Guidance Office with dates and other information. Part of the state mandated Prairie State Achievement Exam will include an ACT test. No registration is necessary. Counselors will meet with juniors in February to select classes for the 2008-2009 school year.
12th GRADE
College-bound seniors should be applying to colleges now. Many colleges will accept on-line applications. Some applications are available in the Guidance Office. Local scholarship information will be available to parents of all seniors sometime in March.
8th GRADE
Registration nights have been set for the incoming Freshman Class of 2012:
**Students whose last names begin with A - K will register for the upcoming school year on Monday, February 4, 2008.
**Students whose last names begin with L - Z will register for the upcoming school year on Thursday, February 7, 2008.
Further information will be mailed to 8th grade parents at a later date.
