Insurance Coverage 6305 The Board shall conduct periodically an appraisal of the adequacy of the insurance coverage carried in the
name of the School District. Determination shall be made of the amounts and types of insurance needed to
properly safeguard the district against undue costs in the event of destruction or loss of school equipment or facilities.
Liability and Worker's Compensation Insurance 6310 The Board shall see that adequate additional insurance shall be carried to cover possible school liability for injury or
loss sustained by employees (Worker's Compensation) as required by law, and to protect the District in the event of bus
or automobile injury or death to school transported students as a result of accident.
Fire, Burglary and Boiler Insurance 6315 The Board shall, in addition, carry other types of insurance such as burglary, fire, boiler, etc., which is considered
necessary to protect the district from other kinds of losses not enumerated above.
